Mewa Khola Hydroelectric Project (MeKHP) is a run-of-River type (RoR) project with an installed capacity of 50 MW using design discharge of 33.0 m3/sec and gross head 198.78 m located in Taplejung district of Province 1 (previously, Mechi zone in Eastern Development region) of Nepal. This district is bordered by India in the east and north, Sankhuwasabha in the west and Panchthar and Tehrathum districts in the south.
